Where Our Money Goes
Ten percent (10%) of the net proceeds received from ranch operations, events, and individual and corporate sponsors will be contributed to the Sarasota YMCA Safe Children Coalition, Children's Hope Chest, and Watoto. All these organizations provide support and assistance to children and orphans in our local community and throughout the world.
Another 15% of net proceeds will be put into The Graceland Ranch Fund that will be used for benevolent events hosted by the Ranch for children, youth, adults, and families in our region.
For example, on October 3, 2010 Graceland Ranch hosted 20 children and their leaders from Bethesda Outreach Ministries for a day of fun at the Rodeo. The children participated in the Mutton Bustin' and Calf Scramble Events and were treated to lunch. This group of children had such an exciting day, that the organization returned for the February 2010 rodeo, bringing 40 different children. As was the case in October, these children were given the opportunity to particiapte in events, eat lunch, and feel the joy of being in the country. Graceland Ranch will continue working with this organization, and others, to give more children the opportunity to experience new and exciting activities.
Beyond the 25% designated for benevolent purposes, 25% of monies received are earmarked for daily operations expenses (animal care, repairs, and continued renovations), 25% to pay off debt incurred during renovation, and 25% toward living expenses for those who are devoting significant time, energy, and leadership at the ranch.
